In a small prep bowl, add the olive oil, chopped rosemary, thyme, and pressed garlic.
Whisk together with a fork until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
Preheat the air fryer for about 5 minutes at 400°F. then place the seasoned pork tenderloin into the air fryer basket. Note: if the pork is too large for the air fryer, just cut crosswise and place both pieces parallel to each other.
Cook for about 10 to 20 minutes or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches at least 145°. Use an instant-read thermometer to check the temperature. Once it’s done, cover it with foil and let it rest for about five minutes before cutting and serving.
Notes
Pat the tenderloin dry- Make sure to get off any excess water because otherwise the oil-based rub will not stay on the pork when you add it.
Premix the rub- Thoroughly mixing the rub ingredients together will ensure an even distribution of them all on the pork tenderloin.
Preheat the air fryer- To get a nice crisp outer layer, the pork must not steam in the air fryer, as it would if it slowly rose in temperature. Preheat it before adding the meat to get the best crust.
Let it rest- You want to let the meat rest after cooking to give the juices time to reabsorb into the pork. This ensures the meat is juicy, and not dry.
