Ingredients

  • 2 lb green beans washed and trimmed
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt + more to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves pressed or grated
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F. Tip: for easy clean up, line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  • Season on the pan: Spread the green beans out on the baking sheet, then drizzle with olive oil. Add the salt, pepper, and pressed or grated garlic. Use your hands or tongs to mix everything directly on the pan until the beans are evenly coated.
  • Arrange in a single layer so they roast properly.
  • Roast: Bake for 25–30 minutes, tossing halfway through, until the green beans are tender and slightly blistered.
  • Add Parmesan (optional): Sprinkle the hot green beans with Parmesan right when they come out of the oven. Taste and adjust seasoning, then serve warm.
