Ingredients

For the strawberries – 4 cups strawberries chopped – 1/3 cup brown sugar – 1/4 tsp salt – 1 1/2 tsp cornstarch – 1 tsp vanilla extract For the biscuit topping – 1 cup all-purpose flour – 1 1/4 tsp baking powder – 1/4 tsp salt – 1/4 cup granulated sugar – 1/4 cup unsalted butter – 1/2 cup buttermilk – 1 tbsp unsalted butter – coarse sugar for topping

Step 1

Prepare the strawberries. Rinse and slice the strawberries and put them in a large bowl.

Add in the filling ingredients. Add the brown sugar, cornstarch, salt, and vanilla extract to the bowl and mix well. Then put the filling in a 9-inch pie dish.

Bake the filling. Place the pie dish in the oven and bake it for 20 minutes at 370 degrees Fahrenheit.

Start making the biscuit crust. In another bowl, add the flour, salt, baking powder, sugar, and cubed butter. Using a pastry cutter or by hand, cut through the butter.

dd the buttermilk. Pour the buttermilk into the bowl and use a wooden spoon to mix everything together.

Scoop out the biscuits. Scoop the biscuit dough and place it on top of the baked strawberries.

Bake. Brush the top of the strawberry cobbler with melted butter and sprinkle some coarse sugar on top. Bake it at 370 degrees Fahrenheit for about 35-40 minutes. Serve warm.
