  • Add the water to a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Then turn the heat off.
  • Pour in the granulated sugar and stir until it is fully dissolved.
  • Steep 3 Earl Grey tea bags into the sugar mixture for 4 minutes.
  • Remove the tea bags and squeeze them lightly over the saucepan so the remaining flavor drips back inside the saucepan. Let the syrup cool before storing in a jar, bottle or container with a lid. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
    Steps to make Earl Grey Syrup: dissolve the sugar in boiling water, whisk, then steep the earl grey tea, remove the tea bags, and let cool.
