Mandarin Banana Smoothie Recipe
Kick off your morning with a tangy refreshing mandarin and banana smoothie recipe. After all that holiday food, this is just the thing to get you back on track. I usually buy mandarins this time of year because they are most ripe, but even then I still have times where I buy a pack that isn’t sweet at all and completely flavorless. These mandarins were a pleasant surprise. Finally, mandarins that taste the way they should! I ended up going back the following day for more because my husband and I couldn’t stop eating them.

How to make a Mandarin Banana Smoothie Recipe
Prepare both the banana and mandarins as directed and place into the freezer for one hour. Add to the blender with other ingredients and blend until smooth. I used freezer ziplock bags.
Once blended, pour this delicious banana smoothie recipe into a glass and serve with or without straw as preferred. This is a great and healthy low-calorie drink to start your day with for an extra pop of energy. It is also an ideal addition to your routine for kids who don’t like to eat much in the morning. The vitamins in the mandarins and banana are great for them, and the protein in the yogurt adds energy for their day.

Leah says
What type of protein would you suggest adding to this smoothie for an extra boost?
simplyhomecooked says
Hi Leah, I think any vanilla flavored protein would taste best for this recipe.
John says
How about the seeds of the Mandarine? Does it affect the taste?
simplyhomecooked says
Hi John, my mandarins didn’t have seeds in them so I’m not too sure how it would affect the taste.
