Turkey panini edited-9

This panini was one of the first things I made for my husband after we got married. Its so simple and delicious, he still loves it to this day. Whenever I have unexpected guests come over, this is my go to sandwich. I always keep these ingredients stocked because I make this panini so often. If you dont like jalapenos, you can always omit them and the panini will taste just as great.

Ingredients:

2 rolls Ciabatta bread

12 slices smoked turkey breast

2 slices Havarti cheese

12 oz jar hot (or tamed)  jalapeno peppers

Mayonnaise

Dijon mustard

olive oil (to brush onto the bread before cooking)

Instructions:

1. Slice each  bread roll in half and spread mayonnaise on both slices. Then spread Dijon mustard on only one of the halves. Dijon mustard has a pretty strong taste, therefore I don’t put it on both halves.

2. Add 6 slices of smoked turkey breast to each half. Then layer on a desired amount of jalapenos, and one slice of Havarti cheese.

3. Place the two halves together and  dab a little bit of olive oil onto the top and bottom of the bread before placing it onto the panini press. A pastry brush would work as well.

4. Place the panini onto the heated press and keep closed for about 1-2 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the bread is golden brown.
