What You’ll Need
Ingredient Notes
- Proteins- Sausage links and bacon are great for savory offerings. There are also hard boiled eggs for vegetarians.
- Fruits/Veggies- I used fresh fruit, like blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and banana, as well as cucumber and avocado.
- Spreads- Strawberry butter, jam, and Nutella give various combinations of chocolate and nuts, sweet and tangy fruit, and rich and sweet butter. Use store-bought or homemade.
- Breads- Croissants and pancakes are perfect offerings and taste delicious with the spreads. Make your own or buy them.
- Cheese- I used Colby jack because it’s swirly pattern is nice looking and its mild flavor goes well with everything.
Add-ins and Substitutions
- Substitute other breads- Use Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes, Glazed Air Fryer Donuts, Brioche French Toast, New York Bagels, Sourdough Bread, Crepes, waffles, mini cinnamon rolls, or Cinnamon Apple Muffins.
- Add different fruits and vegetables- Add some blackberries, pears, oranges, grapes, kiwis, red bell peppers, cantaloupe, or watermelon to this brunch charcuterie board.
- Make this with more spreads- You can serve this with some Chocolate Ganache, Chantilly Cream, Raspberry Sauce, peanut butter, maple syrup, honey, cream cheese, or other flavored butters.
- Substitute the proteins- Make this breakfast charcuterie board with scrambled eggs, sausage patties, Vienna sausages, Canadian bacon, or ham. For cheese, try sharp cheddar, mozzarella, brie, or pepper jack.
How to Make Breakfast Charcuterie Board
- Add the savory items. On a large wooden board, add the air fryer bacon, breakfast sausage links, hard-boiled eggs, sliced avocado, cucumbers, and cubed Colby jack cheese.
- Now add the breads/pastries. Place the mini croissants and mini pancakes on next.
- Then add the spreads. Add in the butters, jams, and spreads, like this raspberry jam, Nutella, and strawberry butter.
- Add the berries and fruits last. Fill in the gaps with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and bananas. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Pro Tip: Add the ingredients of this board in this order so that you have everything spread out with the fruits filling in any gaps. It just looks prettier.
Recipe Tips
- Cook the bacon crispy- As boards tend to sit for a while, crispy bacon will hold its shape better than less cooked bacon that tends to be mealy.
- Use mini pastries- So that the pastries don’t dominate the breakfast board, use mini versions of everything so that the breads aren’t much bigger than anything else.
- Use easy to grab items- Cheese cubes, individual sausage links, plain pancakes, and berries are all easy to grab items that are not messy, for easy access on this brunch board.
- Assemble in the right order- The bigger stuff – proteins and pastries – should go on first, then the spreads in their small bowls, and then fill in the gaps with fruit. This creates the nicest presentation and even spacing.
FAQs
Whenever you create a charcuterie board, it’s best to have a good variety in your selection. The 3 3 3 3 rule refers to 3 starches, 3 cheeses, 3 meats, and 3 accompaniments, like nuts, veggies, or fruit.
Assemble the breakfast platter an hour or two before serving. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and let sit at room temperature until you’re ready to serve. If you like, you can cook the bacon and sausage just before serving and add them last so they are hot and crispy.

Tammy L says
Does it matter that the bacon & pancakes won’t be warm?
Dina says
Hi Tammy, I would recommend placing the bacon and eggs at the very end so they are still slightly warm. But even if they fully cool, its ok. Just make sure they don’t sit out too long so the bacon fat does not solidify. That won’t be very enjoyable on the palate.
